Eat'n Park's Caring for Kids Effort Raises $341,000

Eat'n Park employees and customers raised $341,365 for children's hospitals and charities during the company's 32nd Annual Caring for Kids Campaign, the Homestead-based restaurant chain said Friday.

Money donated at the 75 Eat'n Park restaurants, along with Parkhurst dining service locations, goes to organizations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Since 1979, Caring for Kids has raised more than $7.5 million.

In Pittsburgh, $277,162 goes to the Free Care Fund at Children's Hospital of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Lawrenceville. Eat'n Park said this year's campaign raised the third-highest amount in the program's history; about $334,000 was raised in 2009.
