College of Saint Elizabeth Partners with Parkhurst Dining
Parkhurst Dining has been selected as the new vendor for food service at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J., effective July 1, 2016. Parkhurst was selected for its award-winning dining service management, a commitment to high-quality, and most importantly, a fresh, made-from-scratch approach to food preparation.
One of the most significant changes that students will experience upon returning to school for the fall semester is the all-you-care to eat meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Students will enjoy everything from eggs cracked-to- order for breakfast to fresh, never frozen burgers for lunch and dinner.
Major renovations will be done to the Rose Dining Room in Saint Joseph Hall and will begin in the fall of 2016. Renovations will feature additional seating from 220 to 250 complete with soft and lounge areas. These changes create a destination for students not only to eat, but gather and socialize with family and friends.
“We look forward to this new partnership,” said College of Saint Elizabeth Vice President of Finance Michael Fescoe. “Creating a more contemporary dining room atmosphere will enhance our on-campus experience for students, as well as faculty and staff.”
Enjoying a new look will set the stage for Parkhurst’s authentic food. Parkhurst brands include BRAVISSIMO, which showcases our talented chefs where they cook exhibition-style! Chefs will prepare a variety of items daily keeping our guests always guessing, entertained and excited about their next meal!
Hot items including sizzling salads, pasta, crepes and pizza will be prepared in front of our guests using a new gas-fired pizza oven. This efficient cooking technology allows us to prepare a variety of foods in the oven, making baking and grilling easy, fun and best of all fast.
A cold section will entice even the most finicky diner with hand-rolled sushi - veggie, California, spicy tuna, to name a few – rolled with the ingredients of our guests’ choice. A deli area will also feature chopped and entrée salads, as well as wraps made-to-order. “These new food stations will increase the variety of menu options for our students and decrease the time spent waiting for their meal,” adds CSE’s Fescoe.
With a proven record of success in increasing board plan and retail dining opportunities, Parkhurst brings the same level of energy and passion to managing the college’s campus store. The majority of the space is dedicated to the College of Saint Elizabeth logo, apparel and spirit wear, while c-store selections such as healthier snacks, candy, beverages, greeting cards, health and beauty, and other sundries are available for purchase.
“With everything from comfort foods, culturally diverse selections, to on the go!, students will experience a variety of healthier, innovative and progressive dining and catering options that provide excellent food service to the College of Saint Elizabeth campus community,” says Bill Albright, Parkhurst vice president of higher education dining.
