As you know, we’ve been braving the winter weather with our Soup’s On culinary theme this January and February. Honing in more specifically on our Higher Education sites, we’ve also been celebrating our seasonal theme Cozy Up with Campus Dining.

This blistery winter weather can often leave you feeling lethargic, cold, and unmotivated which is the recipe for a dragging week. What’s our go-to food to help our bodies warm up in this seemingly never-ending frozen tundra, you may ask? SOUP!

Customization has taken the food industry by storm. It’s so prevalent in this day and age that according to a study of food service trends done by the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM), 72% of consumers expect their meal to be fully customizable.

Last month, our Elmira College Dining team hired a very special employee who deserves some recognition. Her name is Sally, she loves making salads, she’s a few hundred pounds, and no – she’s not a human.
