How Parkhurst Chooses Local Partners for Pop-Up Events

Parkhurst pop-up events are a great way to showcase our local partnerships and create engaging experiences for team members and guests alike.

Through our Local Scene Partners program, we find the best chefs and restaurants from the area and bring them straight to our sites for everyone to enjoy. We regularly partner with women and minority-owned businesses as well as up-and-comers who are at the center of our food ecosystems.

In recognition of AAPI Month, below are a few Asian-inspired Local Scene pop-ups our guests loved!

Chef Veda

Chef Veda Sankaran, owner of Jalsa by Veda, brings global flavors to some of our college sites across Western Pennsylvania, exploring identity while telling stories through food. Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, Chef Veda has always been fascinated by the intersection of food, culture, and identity.

Bibibop Asian Grill

North Central College partnered with this local restaurant to bring BYO bowls to campus with guests’ choice in protein, hot and cold toppings, and sauce. Bibibop is all about serving healthy, affordable, Asian food, and Parkhurst was thrilled to bring this dynamic brand and interactive guest experience to campus.

  • a Bibibop Asian Grill employee holds a fresh bowl with rice, meat, and veggies

Sushi Rolling Station

We welcomed chefs from Hisui Sushi to roll sushi for guests at one of our corporate locations. It was a fun and delicious offering for guests that broke up the monotony of work lunches and introduced them to a local restaurant without ever having to leave the office!
