Parkhurst is celebrating an important milestone this month. It’s been a year since our company, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group (ENPHG), started PRIDEful Professionals, an inclusion group that celebrates and supports the LGBTQIA+ community.
With a focus on LGBTQIA+ initiatives, the group aims to positively impact our overall business, enhance team member experiences, and promote community engagement through networking, mentorship and support, and events and activities to foster a sense of belonging and professional development.
Our kick-off event was “Pride Night at PNC Park,” where members enjoyed a Pirates game in the ENPHG suite during “Pride Night.” Not only was the event catered, but we got a visit from one of Mrs. T’s Pierogies!
The group also volunteered at Shepherd Wellness Community in Pittsburgh during ENPHG’s annual Day of Smiles event. Founded in 1987, Shepherd Wellness Community’s mission is to help people living with HIV/AIDS improve their overall wellness. PRIDEful Professionals helped prep a variety of dishes and set up a Wellness Dinner that was open to those living with HIV/AIDS as well as their loved ones.
During the holiday season, PRIDEful Professionals held a Holiday Clothing Drive that benefitted SisTers PGH, a Black and Trans-led non-profit organization, which serves the POC, Trans, and Nonbinary community within Southwestern PA. Over the course of the drive, we collected a variety of winter clothing items and toiletries at the ENPHG Corporate Support Center.
